Date Night

We have been trading babysitting nights with our neighbors and tonight was our night to go out. We headed south to a little town called Bristol. It's a sort of funky, throwback to the sixties sort of town. First we went for dinner at Mary's at the Inn at Baldwin Creek. It was fantastic. We tried the cream of garlic soup which won an award for being the best soup in Vt (I don't remember who gave out the award. . .probably the chef's sister). It was delicious. I also had the lemon crusted tofu which was very good.

Then it was off to the waterfall. I can't wait to go swimming here on a hot summer day! We still had some time so we went into town for coffee and a cookie and Jeff admired the motorcycles outside. Now it's time for a little Keith Olbermann-the perfect end to a perfect day!

  1. What a beautiful evening for a date! Good for you two! I think I am going to have to head to Bristol to try this place out, I think you are the third person I know to recommend it!

  2. Good for you! Date nights are SO important. We tried for one this weekend but couldn't find a sitter. I'm glad you had a good time. :)
